Doha: beIN MEDIA GROUP and Major League Baseball (MLB) have announced a two-year media rights renewal agreement for 2020 and 2021 seasons.

The agreement will see beIN SPORTS broadcast the two MLB seasons across 24 territories in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and in France.

The delayed and shortened 2020 MLB season begins on July 23 and is set to finish on September 27.

For baseball fans in France and in the MENA, beIN will be the exclusive home of MLB’s most popular events – the MLB All Star Game, the World Series, and MLB Play-offs until the end of the 2021 season.

In addition, beIN SPORTS will broadcast a minimum of two MLB matches per week throughout the regular season.

Commenting on beIN SPORTS’ latest deal, Richard Verow, Chief Sports Officer at beIN MEDIA GROUP, said: “We are delighted to have renewed our agreement with Major League Baseball until 2021 for fans in France and across the Middle East and North Africa. With dedicated programmes on screen, our subscribers will enjoy, once again, the best of American baseball on beIN SPORTS.”
